Elderberry
Fruit
You know what they say! Respect your Elder-berries!
The Elderberry grows on shrubs and small trees, and can be found in cultivation in various parts of the world. The Elderberry has been used as a folk remedy in North America, Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. The Elder plant is the subject of much folklore: some believe that the plant can ward off evil spirits, and others believe that cutting down the Elder tree will result in bad luck. These small black berries are loaded with nutrients, and the tart, tangy flavors of the berry are an excellent addition to many products.
