The Acerola is a small red fruit with a tart flavor. Acerola is native to southern Mexico, South America, Puerto Rico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Central America. Frozen Acerola fruit tends to fall apart as it thaws, making it ideal for jams, syrups, and juices.
